England Team on Euro 2012

England's players stand to earn more than £100,000 each if they manage to pull off an unlikely championship win at Euro 2012.  Sources close to the FA have confirmed that a pay structure has been put in place after an agreement was reached with squad members, including current and former captains Steven Gerrard and John Terry.   The bonus payments will be heavily weighted towards the team reaching the knockout stages. In addition to the bonus money, England’s players will each receive appearance fees of £1,500 for a win, £1,000 for a draw and £750 for a defeat during the tournament.

England has unveiled its roster for the upcoming Euro 2012 tournament. After a string of disappointing results during international competition, the Three Lions are looking to bounce back behind new manager Roy Hodgson.

The Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has been ruled out of Euro 2012 with a double fracture of the jaw. Liverpool's Martin Kelly has been called up as his replacement. John Terry, who suffered a hamstring strain during Saturday's match against Belgium, has been passed fit.  Cahill suffered the injury when he was pushed into the goalkeeper Joe Hart during the first half of the 1-0 win at Wembley. He was immediately sent for x-rays, although Hodgson feared the worst and that has now been realised
