BIG MATCH UCL Preview: AC Milan vs Arsenal

Talk about AC Milan's chances and Arsenal match this one is never easy. Milan had a high level of reliability in the history of the Champions League, but Arsenal as one of the elite club of England, is a thorn in the flesh for the Rossoneri.

As a result, the first meeting in phase 16 of the UEFA Champions League 2011/12 this would be difficult to predict its direction. Before listening to the current situation before the duel at the Giuseppe Mezza, San Siro, Milano, on Wednesday (15/2), we look at the history of the competition smells Angilo-Italian sentiment about both.

Rossoneri recorded a total of 12 seven success in home-away duel against English clubs (58.3% pass). On the other hand, Arsenal have posted a total of seven break-out in a duel of eight home-away face of the representatives of Italy (87.5%).

Gunners also looks likely to increase substantially if we look at six of their last trip to the land of Italy which ended with the victory. Arsene Wenger's recent success was when they beat Udinese 2-1 in Friuli in the play-off round of the Champions League this season in August.

Last record victory at Milano The North Londoners are still fresh in the minds of the Milanistam is 2-0 in the last 16 Champions League 2007/08.

Football Handicap for this game to favor Milan (0:1 / 2) because of several factors occurring in the body Arsenal. In some occasions Wenger has expressed his intention to play offensively in Milano.

"Break-out system with away goals counting double that prevailing in Europe during this gives penghargaah scored big for the club on away goals. Only by playing attacking alone we can steal a goal at San Siro, "he told The Telegraph, after Arsenal won 2-1 at Sunderland on Saturday (11/2).

Gunners intention is clearly to make Allegri was optimistic because without Ibrahimovic Milan last week to lead 2-1 at Udinese through the patterns that rely on counterattacks Stephan El Shaarawy and Maxi Lopez.

The second last name is most likely not be a starter but can create difficulties as a supersub. Do not forget, Per Mestesacker injury against Sunderland back to the rotation that occurs in the back of Arsenal is a gap that could be exploited host.

Without Mertesacker likely defender Thomas Vermaelen is shifted from left to center-back position. Impact, Wenger must choose between Kieran Gibbs and Francis Coquelin to be left back.

To be honest, they are not in the best shape these days for different reasons. Gibbs is recovering from a long injury and Coquelin is the ideal position as a holding midfielder.

However, this also applies vice versa as the Arsenal striker who was on-fire can be a hassle Milan: Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, Thierry Henry up to the geeks, who is serving his last fight with Arsenal before returning to New York Red Bulls.

Small chance for Gervinho (Ivory Coast), who just returned from African Nations Cup, going down to replace Oxlade-Chamberlain. Therefore, the dragon-dragon Wenger will put a 4-2-3-1 formation as last week rather than go back to 4-1-4-1 like before Gervinho return home.

Fortunately, to dampen the pace of Arsenal attacks, according to Corriere della Sera Allegri can be considered to put goalkeeper Christian Abbiati and central defender Alessandro Nesta, who has returned to training last week.

Surely the 4-3-1-2 formation that raises Allegri mainstay bomber Ibrahim as fertile Rossoneri this season will not be much left untouched.

However, once again, a new page English-Italian rivalry is still very clean can be filled with what results. Unpredictable results due to Arsenal despite Milan seeded players injured slightly disturbed.
