Michael Ballack: Preparing to move to a bigger club

This season seems to be the last season defending Michael Ballack of Bayer Leverkusen.

Ballack contract with Leverkusen will be completed by summer next year. Former German national team captain has been linked with a move to MLS.

Ballack has declared his intention to continue to perform at the highest level of competition. But it seems Leverkusen is not the place for Ballack.

Club general manager, Rudi Voller believes Ballack will leave after his contract expires.

"For now, the tendency is he going to leave our club at the end of the season," said Voller

"I do not expect this but it seems everything will run like that," he continued.

Ballack is the bottleneck of a prolonged injury to perform optimally with Leverkusen. Recruited since last season, this 35-year-old footballer to appear 36 times by donating five goals.
